The £10 million building, provides a world-class technical education at the Park Crescent campus in Peterborough. It will become home to around 100 students studying either Engineering or the Built Environment from September 2016.
The plot of land adjacent to Peterborough Regional College, a main sponsor of the new school, was transformed by contractors Kier into a state-of-the art, scandi-style, three-storey building. It facilitates the best technical education for 14 year olds embarking on their GCSEs, and 16 year olds about to start A-Levels or further education. The building is complete with its own separate engineering and construction workshops, individual, specially tailored science labs, computer design rooms, a top floor restaurant with roof terrace, communal zones and an enormous double-height event space.
JCW Acoustic Flooring were appointed by Kier Construction to install a number of acoustic batten systems within the new building. Installing just under 3000m2 of acoustic flooring JCW completed the above project in under 3 months.
