Carshalton Road was an affordable scheme providing essential high quality homes for individuals currently on the council’s housing waiting list.
The development comprises 44 residential apartments above the D1 commercial space which is occupied by Kids Unlimited one of the UK’s largest children’s day nursery operators. The building was constructed using a reinforced concrete frame with facing brick, render, and ceramic rainscreen clad elevations.
The site lies on the ourtskirts of Sutton Town Centre which offers extensive shopping and recreational facilities. In addition, the immediate vicinity provides local shops and schools as well as an abundance of public transport facilities, bus and train services.
JCW Acoustic Flooring Ltd were tasked with installing over 3000m2 of acoustic flooring. The product used was JCW Acoustic Deck 33 which comprises 18mm chipboard laminated to a resilient layer containing reconstituted polyurethane foam and recycled rubber mat. Installation took just over 8 weeks to install and is one of many projects supplied and installed for The Oakwood Group.
