Contractor

WRW Construction Ltd

Architect

Powell Dobson

Duration

November 2020

The £7 million regeneration masterplan will increase the attractiveness and range of things to see and do in this historic seaside resort in the South West of Carmarthenshire. As well as the 42-Bed Eco Hostel, there is also a new Sands of Speed museum which replaces the existing museum which was demolished. The brand-new, family-friendly museum is dedicated to Pendine’s dramatic role in the World Land Speed Record in the 1920s, when the sands witnessed an intense competition between Malcolm Campbell and J.G. Parry-Thomas.

JCW Acoustic Flooring supplied and installed the acoustic flooring to the 42-bed eco-hostel at the above project in November 2020. JCW Acoustic Flooring installed the Cellecta Screedboard 30 which comprises a 20mm high density board and a 10mm wood fibre layer resilient layer. It can accept a multitude of floor finishes making it an ideal floor treatment.
