JCW Acoustic Flooring has successfully completed the installation of over 400m² of Cellecta Screedboard in Epsom.

Cellecta Screedboard 20 complies with Robust Detail E-FT-5 and incorporates a resilient layer beneath routed out thermal insulation with a 20mm Gypsum based board on top.

ScreedBoard 20 dry screed boards deliver extensive underfloor heating benefits and have the lowest thermal resistance when compared to the most common floor finishes (chipboards and wet screed). It is this low thermal resistance which allows ground water heat pumps and heat recovery systems to work efficiently to provide significant cost savings for the consumer. ScreedBoard 20 floorboards accept ceramic tiles, feature easy to install interlocking edges, and do not contract or expand when exposed to water.

The project in East Street, Epsom which is close to Epsom town centre and just a five minute drive from the famous Epsom Downs racecourse, included the construction of a new build timber frame accommodation block. The timer framed block included a wet underfloor heating system with an acoustic floor. Cellecta Screedboard 20 was an obvious choice for this installation due to its Robust Standard Detail credentials.

Installation of the Cellecta Screedboard 20 required precise co-ordination with the underfloor heating contractor to ensure that the underfloor heating pipework was covered up as soon as possible after testing to avoid any damage to the pipework.

Main contractor for the project was United Living. The United Living Group was formed from the merger of Bullock Construction Ltd and United House Ltd in September 2014 with the vision to become one of the UK’s leading providers of refurbished and new build living solution.

JCW Acoustic Flooring was once again the preferred choice for the supply and fit of the acoustic flooring solution due to their professional service and specialist knowledge of all acoustic flooring systems.
